The Writers Studio

In this eight-week video class, students will draw upon the narrative voices they have studied in The Writers Studio's regular memoir classes to begin putting longer pieces together, possibly complete manuscripts. Weekly exercises will not be given. Rather, students will work with a narrator of their choosing to bring new material to class each week. Students will receive written feedback on weekly, two-page submissions. Longer submissions of up to six pages will be workshopped verbally with each student having a minimum of two opportunities to present work during the course. Over the course of the session, time permitting, we may also have the opportunity to workshop additional, shorter pieces verbally.
