This class will provide an opportunity for students, who have completed at least one term of Advanced/Level 3 or above, to share work and receive feedback on stories, a series of poems or excerpts of longer work, up to ten pages. All students will have experience with and be prepared to provide feedback founded in awareness of persona writing, and the craft of tone and mood. Looking at longer work will provide an opportunity to consider story elements such as the shape of story, the inevitability and surprise of endings, character, dialogue and story-telling or plot. In the past, poets have joined the finishing work class bringing a series of poems (up to five) that work as a cycle or that you are working on toward developing a submission packet.

If you have not taken Master or Advanced class with Kathie Jacobson, please email her at [email protected] to determine your eligibility for the class.
