Students will attend San Francisco writing classes at their scheduled times via Zoom (with or without cameras enabled). Your exercises will be shared electronically, and the format of the live class will be the same as when you attend class in person, with students and teachers responding to your work and discussing the next week’s exercise.

Students come into this Master Class, with plenty of experience and sophistication. Here they take on the next challenge: honing the skills and developing the healthy habits that will sustain them throughout their writing lives. They develop increased self-awareness about their own internal process, as well as increasing control over the “voice” that’s unique to them and over their narrative choices. Students at this level continue to do exercises from the Craft Class, but they also routinely complete poems and stories to submit for publication, and work toward creating a book-length manuscript. Teachers in the school also participate in this workshop.

Open only to those students who have completed the Advanced Workshop and by permission of the teacher.
